VOLUNTEERS WANTED

Our Goal:
1 volunteer for every shift of the week. Especially Tues./Fri./Sat./Sun.Mornings. Learn new skills and become inspired as you h elp Organic Garden with normal Café prep, utility functions and special events.
The Commitment:
Volunteers should commit to helping a minimum of 5 times over a period of 2 months, twice within the first 2 weeks.
Daytime help should come for 3 or more hours as early as 8 am.
Evening help should be available for 2 hours or more crossing over the time
zone of 6 to 8pm if possible when the rush might occur.
The Tasks:
We need volunteers who want to be helpful for the right reasons and according to our needs.
Everyone wants a free raw recipe education, believe me I know, we deal with many volunteer request.
However, the recipe chef does not need volunteers very often.
Volunteers that DO help us, the way we need help, can tell you they do in fact learn a lot of very useful skills
and also absorb the raw food vibe from the staff, as well as occasionally help the chef or me personally.
But no matter what it has to start with 'how can I be helpful?'.
*** see below for more about Formal Raw Kitchen Chef Certification, if this is not
what you are really looking for ***

Volunteers receive a free entree and smoothie each shift and 20% discount on food take-home that day
Volunteers have the satisfaction of helping a really good cause benefiting you, OG Cafe, the community, organic farmers, and dearest Mother Earth. Organic Garden has losses from it's first 4 years of operation keeping the mission alive (quite common for restaurants), and even though we will likely turn a profit on' the books' this year, cashflow is tight and every bit of help helps!
