Our catering focuses on Wrap, Salad, Bowl & Dessert Platters as well as other items from our regular online menu, as these have proven to be the most popular with our customers and consist of recipes and ingredients that are part of the current operations.
Wrap platters feature your choice of a variety of wraps cut into half or thirds and are very popular at corporate functions. Often folks at a function may eat 2 x 1/3rd sections if they do not have a large appetite or are grazing on a few other items.
Bowl and Salad Platters can feature the equivalent of 4 to 6 bowls or salads per pan/platter feeding up to two or three times as many guests depending on the other offerings.
Dessert Platters can feature a variety of desserts that can be quartered so your crowd can sample a number of items without committing to a large portion. A rich dessert such as a brownie can even be cut into ninths. In the case of a dessert platter I would order at least as many desserts in total as the number of guests and then we will quarter them accordingly.
Most items on our regular online menu can be turned into platters to serve buffet style, or packaged individually, i.e. broccoli with cheese platter, nacho plate platter, sesame ginger salad platter. In this case, we might say if 10 to 12 people are looking for a small portion of broccoli & cheese, order 4 of those and we will prepare that volume of as a platter.
If the food item is on our online menu we can make it any volume and calculate a fair cost based on our normal prices x that volume. In our example of broccoli & cheese appetizers, you can guess the cost of the platter will be similar to or exactly the cost of 4 of the appetizers. Feel free to reread these general guidelines carefully, peruse our menu, and then email theogcafe@gmail.com to start the process. You may also call the café and ask to speak to Robert, although as mentioned reviewing our existing menu and emailing is still the best starting point.
For a large event, such as 30 to 120 people, we can offer other special menu items; entrees, soups, curries, appetizers, small bites, taco bar, etc. We can easily craft a menu within a certain theme such as Italian, Mexican, Thai or Mediterranean. For such an event we may provide several crew members to set up, oversee and refill a buffet line or we may work with an outside team to handle full service according to your needs. The pricing for such an event may be significantly greater than standard small event pricing, as there are much greater costs associated with planning, staffing or preparing items that are outside the normal fare on a large scale.
Thank you,
